Novellic Book Club Prize Draw – Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to the Novellic Book Club Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”). By entering, you agree to them.
1. Promoter
1.1 The promoter is Novellic Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08253765, whose registered office is at Acre House, 11-15 William Road, London NW1 3ER (“Novellic”, “we”, “us”).
1.2 Questions about the Prize Draw can be sent to be@novellic.com.
2. Who can enter
2.1 The Prize Draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over.
2.2 Employees of Novellic, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw may not enter.
2.3 Entries must be made on behalf of a book club by a manager of that club on the Novellic app. A book club must have at least [3] members on the Novellic app, including the manager, at the time of entry.
2.4 Novellic may ask for proof of eligibility. We may exclude any entry or entrant we reasonably believe has broken these terms.
3. Free entry
3.1 The Prize Draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. The Novellic app is free to download. Entrants are responsible for any internet or data charges.
4. How to enter
4.1 To enter:
- Download the Novellic app and create a book club, or be a manager of an existing book club on the app.
- Take a screenshot of your club’s page in the app, showing the club name and number of members.
- Complete the entry form at novellic.com/bookclub and upload the screenshot.
4.2 Please do not include other members’ messages or personal details in the screenshot.
4.3 Only one entry is allowed per book club, and per person. Further entries for the same club will be disregarded.
4.4 A valid entry is included in every draw that takes place after it is received (see section 5). A club that wins is removed from all later draws.
4.5 Entries that are incomplete, illegible, made by automated means or received after the final closing date are invalid. Novellic is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or not received for any reason.
5. Dates
5.1 The Prize Draw opens on 1 October 2026 and closes at 23:59 UK time on Saturday 31 October 2026.
5.2 There are four weekly draws:

6. Prizes
6.1 There are four prizes, one per weekly draw. Each prize is:
- five books, selected by Novellic from its available stock; and
- one Waterstones gift card worth £25.
6.2 Book titles are chosen by Novellic and cannot be selected or exchanged by the winner.
6.3 The gift card is subject to Waterstones’ own terms and conditions, including any expiry date. Waterstones is not a sponsor of, or otherwise connected with, the Prize Draw.
6.4 Prizes are not transferable and there is no cash alternative. If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, Novellic may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
6.5 Each prize is awarded to the book club’s manager who made the entry, on behalf of the club. Sharing the prize within the club is a matter for the club.
7. Winner selection and notification
7.1 Each winner will be selected at random by computer, or by an independent person, from all valid entries eligible for that draw.
7.2 Winners will be notified by email, using the address given on the entry form, within three working days of the draw.
7.3 Winners must reply within seven days of notification, confirming their acceptance and a UK delivery address. If a winner does not reply in time, cannot be contacted or is found to be ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and Novellic may draw an alternative winner.
7.4 Prizes will be sent to the winner’s UK address within 28 days of acceptance.
7.5 The first name, county and book club name of each winner will be available on request by emailing be@novellic.com for six weeks after the final draw. Winners may object to this information being published or made available by contacting us.
7.6 With the winner’s permission, Novellic may also announce the winning book club on its website, app and social media. Winners are under no obligation to take part in publicity.
8. Your personal data
8.1 Novellic will use the personal details provided on the entry form only to run the Prize Draw, including contacting winners and delivering prizes, in line with our privacy policy at https://novellic.com/privacy-policy.
8.2 Screenshots will be deleted once winners have been confirmed. Other entry details will be kept for no longer than six months after the final draw, then deleted.
8.3 We will only send you marketing about Novellic if you separately opt in on the entry form. You can opt out at any time.
8.4 Entry details are not shared with Meta, Instagram, Facebook or any other third party, except as needed to deliver prizes.
9. Social media
9.1 The Prize Draw is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Instagram or Facebook. By entering, you release Meta, Instagram and Facebook from any responsibility connected with the Prize Draw.
10. General
10.1 Novellic may cancel, suspend or change the Prize Draw or these terms if circumstances beyond our reasonable control make this necessary. Any changes will be published on this page.
10.2 Novellic’s decision on all matters relating to the Prize Draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into, except with winners.
10.3 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes Novellic’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, Novellic is not liable for any loss or damage arising from entering the Prize Draw or accepting a prize.
10.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
